1. Information We Collect
TEN78 does not collect personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no analytics. The app operates entirely on your device, and all data is stored locally. We have no servers that receive, process, or store user data of any kind.
2. Legislation Data
Charges and legislation text are downloaded from publicly available Ontario government sources via GitHub. This is a one-way download — the app retrieves data to keep your local database current. No user data, device information, or usage patterns are sent during this process.
3. Location Data
TEN78 may use your device's approximate location to calculate sunrise and sunset times for operational reference. This location data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server or third party. You can deny location access at any time through your device settings without affecting the core functionality of the app.
4. Local Storage
All app data — including saved charges, folders, search history, and user preferences — is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. This data never leaves your device. Nothing is synced to external servers, cloud services, or backup systems operated by TEN78.
5. Third-Party Services
TEN78 does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No SDKs that collect user data are included in the application. No data is shared with, sold to, or made accessible to any third party.
6. Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. Deleting the TEN78 app from your device permanently removes all stored data, including saved charges, folders, search history, and preferences. There is no residual data retained on any server.
7. Children's Privacy
TEN78 is designed for law enforcement professionals and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal information from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent data collection from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of TEN78 after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
